These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the HissabOne website and application (the "Service"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. These Terms describe our actual, implemented practices; they are not a claim of complete legal protection, and where a point genuinely depends on a decision we have not made yet, we say so rather than invent an answer.

This is a general-purpose Terms document, not tailored legal advice for you. If a point here matters a great deal to you, or you are unsure how it applies to your situation, we recommend you seek independent advice.

1. Who operates HissabOne

HissabOne is currently operated on an individual basis and is not, as of the date above, registered as a separate company or other legal entity. This section will be updated with a registered business name and address if and when HissabOne is incorporated.

For any question about these Terms, contact support@hissabone.com or call +91 70302 42527.

2. Eligibility and contractual capacity

You may use HissabOne only if you can form a legally binding contract under the law that applies to you. If the law where you live sets a minimum age for entering into contracts (commonly 18), you must meet it to create an account. We have not fixed a single specific minimum age figure in this document because we have not yet decided or technically enforced one at registration — until that decision is made and implemented, this eligibility requirement is contractual, not a technical block on the signup form.

By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, and that you are not barred from using the Service under any law that applies to you.

3. Account registration, security and account creation

To use most of HissabOne you need an account, created with an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your password secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately at support@hissabone.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You agree to accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, via the checkbox on the registration form, before an account is created. Accepting these Terms is a separate step from any optional marketing communications preference, and does not by itself authorise processing of your personal information beyond what the Privacy Policy describes.

4. The Service and plan limitations

HissabOne lets you record and organise financial information across up to four kinds of workspace: Personal, Business, Farm, and Investment Group, plus Groups for shared/split expenses. Exactly which workspace types, features and usage limits (such as the number of workspaces, monthly help-assistant questions, or document storage) are available to your account depends on the subscription plan (Basic, Pro or Pro Plus) you have chosen — current plan details, limits and pricing are shown on the Billing page in the app, which is the authoritative source rather than any figure quoted elsewhere, since plan pricing and limits can be changed by us from time to time.

We aim to keep the Service available and working correctly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service depends on third-party providers (including our hosting, database, storage, email, SMS and payment providers); an outage or change at any of them may affect the Service, and we are not responsible for outages caused by a third-party provider outside our control.

5. Personal, Business, Farm and Group workspace responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you and anyone you allow into your workspace enter. A Personal, Business or Farm workspace you create is visible only to you unless you explicitly connect it to someone else (see below); we do not review or verify the financial records you keep.

A workspace administrator (the account that created it, or anyone they add with administrator-level access, where the workspace type supports multiple members) can see and manage that workspace's records and members. If you add someone else to a workspace or group, you are responsible for making sure you are allowed to share that workspace's content with them.

6. Visibility of shared records

A Group's members can see that group's shared expenses, splits, settlements and any receipts attached to them. A person you send a lending/borrowing connection request to, who accepts it, sees a read-only mirror of the ledger between you and them — never your other workspaces, and never edit access to your side of the ledger. An Investment Group's members see the investment records their role in that group is permitted to see (owner, manager, member or viewer).

You control who you invite into a workspace or group, and you are responsible for that decision. We are not responsible for a dispute between members of a workspace or group over what was or was not agreed between them outside the Service.

7. Your financial data, reports and calculators

Every ledger entry, report, budget, goal and calculator result in HissabOne is generated from the information you (or someone you gave access to your workspace) entered. HissabOne does not independently verify this information against any bank, exchange or other external source.

The financial calculators (for example EMI, SIP and RD calculators) and any projections shown are generic mathematical tools based on the inputs you give them. They are for your own planning convenience only, are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and are not a guarantee of any real-world outcome, return or repayment schedule. You should not rely on a calculator result as the sole basis for a financial decision.

8. Group contributions, ownership records and profit allocations

HissabOne's Group and Investment Group features are record-keeping and calculation tools only. HissabOne does not hold or move money, is not a broker, does not raise funds from the public, and promises no returns.

Recording a contribution, an ownership percentage, or a profit or capital-return allocation inside HissabOne is a record you and the other members choose to keep — it does not itself move any money, establish legal title to an asset, or create an investment product, security or lending arrangement. Whatever legal arrangement exists between the members of a group (a partnership, a joint purchase, an informal understanding, or anything else) exists between those members under whatever agreement or law applies to them outside HissabOne; HissabOne's records are a convenience for tracking it, not the source of anyone's legal rights.

Similarly, recording that money was "given", "taken" or "repaid" between you and a contact, or that a group settlement was made, is a note you enter yourself about something that happened outside the Service. It does not mean HissabOne verified, guaranteed, or was involved in transferring that money.

9. Uploaded documents

You own the documents and files you upload to HissabOne (the Document Vault, group receipts, investment evidence, and similar features). By uploading a file, you grant us only the limited permission needed to store it in our private cloud storage (Cloudflare R2, not a public bucket), keep a backup, and show it back to you and to whoever else your own sharing choices make it visible to (for example, other members of a group you attached a receipt to). We do not use your uploaded documents for any other purpose, such as training a model on them or sharing them with anyone outside what you have chosen to share.

Storage available to you depends on your subscription plan's storage limit, shown on the Billing page. You are responsible for not uploading anything you do not have the right to upload, or that is unlawful, infringing, or otherwise prohibited under section 10.

10. Prohibited activities

You agree not to, and not to help anyone else:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including fraud, money laundering or evading a legal obligation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another user's account, another workspace you were not invited to, or to HissabOne's systems.
  • Upload malware, or otherwise attempt to disrupt, overload or damage the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Harass, threaten or abuse another user, including through the messages or names you enter about a group member or contact.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer or resell the Service, or misrepresent yourself as HissabOne.

11. Subscription pricing, taxes and billing

Current plan pricing, billing period (monthly or annual, where offered) and usage limits are shown on the Billing page at the time you choose a plan — that is the authoritative source, since pricing and limits can change. As implemented today, checkout charges exactly the amount shown on the Billing page, with no separate tax line added during payment; our intention is for displayed prices to be treated as exclusive of applicable taxes such as GST, with tax handling reflected in pricing as our billing system is developed further, rather than added as a separate step at checkout today.

Payments are processed by Razorpay in Indian Rupees (INR). We do not receive or store your card, UPI or bank account details — Razorpay handles that directly.

12. Renewal

As implemented today, HissabOne subscriptions are fixed-term purchases, not automatically renewing subscriptions: a paid plan is valid until its expiry date, and it does not charge you again automatically. We notify you as your plan approaches expiry. If it expires without a new purchase, your data is kept, but you will need to choose and pay for a plan again from the Billing page before you can continue using the Service.

If this changes in the future — for example, if an automatically renewing subscription is introduced — we will update this section and seek any consent that applies before turning it on for existing users, consistent with applicable renewal-disclosure and cancellation-right requirements.

13. Cancellation, access after cancellation, and refunds

Because plans do not auto-renew (see section 12 above), there is nothing to "cancel" mid-term in the sense of stopping a future automatic charge — a plan simply runs until its expiry date, and choosing not to renew is itself the cancellation. If you would like to stop using a paid plan sooner than its expiry, contact support@hissabone.com.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis by us and are not automatic or self-service as of this policy's effective date; there is no fixed refund deadline stated here, because none is currently defined in how the Service operates. If you believe you are entitled to a refund (for example, due to a billing error or a failure of the Service), contact support@hissabone.com with your payment details and the reason, and we will review it. This does not limit any non-waivable statutory refund or cancellation right you may have under the consumer-protection law that applies to you (see section 20).

If you dispute a charge directly with Razorpay or your bank/card issuer (a "chargeback"), we may ask you to first raise the issue with us through support@hissabone.com so it can be resolved directly.

14. Reminders, notifications and third-party delivery

Reminders, due-date notices and other notifications are delivered by email, SMS or in-app notification depending on the feature and your settings, through our third-party email (Brevo) and SMS (Twilio) providers. We do not guarantee that every reminder or notification will be delivered, delivered on time, or delivered at all — delivery can fail because of the third-party provider, your own email/SMS settings or filters, planned maintenance, or an outage outside our control. Reminders are a convenience feature, not a substitute for tracking your own obligations.

15. Intellectual property

The HissabOne name, logo, and the Service's software, design and content (excluding what you upload or enter yourself) belong to HissabOne's operator or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose while your account is active. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the Service itself outside that licence.

16. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms (for example, the prohibited activities in section 10), where we are required to by law, or to protect the security of the Service or other users. Where practical, we will tell you why and give you a reasonable opportunity to address the issue before suspension becomes termination, unless the situation requires immediate action (for example, active fraud or a security threat).

You may stop using the Service at any time; see section 17 for what happens to your account and data if you want it closed.

17. Account closure, data export and deletion

You can request your account be closed and your data deleted by contacting support@hissabone.com or raising a support ticket under the "Account deletion" category. As implemented today, this is reviewed and actioned by us rather than instant and fully self-service: once scheduled, there is a 14-day window (configurable by us) in which the deletion can still be cancelled, after which your workspace data is deleted and your account record removed, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You can similarly request an export of your data under the "Data export" category; as implemented today this delivers a download link by email, valid for 7 days, covering your profile, workspaces, accounts, transactions, contacts, goals and budgets. Groups, uploaded documents and saved calculator results are not yet included in this export — contact support if you specifically need those.

Closing your account does not delete records that belong to other people's workspaces or groups merely because you were a member of them (for example, a group expense another member recorded); those records remain with the workspace or group owner, with your own identifying details detached where reasonably possible.

18. Relationship to the Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it, and is part of these Terms by reference. Accepting these Terms is not, by itself, blanket consent to every kind of personal-data processing — please read the Privacy Policy for the specifics, including the regional supplement covering how different countries' privacy laws apply to HissabOne today.

19. Changes to these Terms

If we make a material change to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where practical, post a notice in the app or email registered users ahead of the change taking effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. We will not silently apply a materially different set of Terms to an existing user's account without reasonable notice, and we will not use a Terms update on its own as a reason to lock out existing users or demand additional personal information beyond what the Service already requires.

20. Support, complaints, governing law and disputes

For support, questions or complaints about the Service, contact support@hissabone.com or call +91 70302 42527. We will acknowledge and work through a complaint in good faith; we have not committed to a specific fixed response deadline in this document, because none is currently defined in how support is operated.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. We have not specified a particular city or court as the exclusive venue for disputes in this document, because that depends on the operator's registered address, which is not yet finalised (see section 1) — this will be added once decided, rather than invented here.

Nothing in these Terms takes away a right you cannot legally waive under the law that protects you as a consumer, including any mandatory cancellation, refund or dispute-resolution right that applies regardless of what this document says. If you are using HissabOne for your business rather than as a consumer, some consumer-specific protections referenced in this document may not apply to you in the same way.
