HissabOne
Personal ledger

Keep track of money you lend and borrow

Money given or taken informally with friends, family or customers is easy to lose track of. HissabOne keeps one running balance per person, with due dates and reminders, so nothing gets forgotten or disputed.

HissabOne is a recordkeeping tool. It does not lend money, hold funds, or transfer money between accounts — every entry here is something you record yourself, for money that changed hands outside the app.

The problem

The problem with tracking loans informally

Money given or taken between people rarely gets written down consistently — a note here, a memory there. Partial repayments make it worse: it becomes hard to say exactly how much is still owed, by whom, and since when.

  • No single record of who owes what, or since when
  • Partial repayments are hard to track against the original amount
  • No reminder when a due date has passed
How HissabOne helps

How HissabOne helps

Every person you lend to or borrow from is a contact with its own running balance. Recording money given, money taken, or a repayment updates that balance automatically, and the full history stays visible. Add a due date and HissabOne flags it as it approaches or once it is overdue.

What you get

One balance per person

Every entry for a contact — given, taken, repaid — rolls up into a single, always-current balance.

Partial repayments handled correctly

Record a repayment of any amount; it reduces the outstanding balance and stays in the history.

Due dates and reminders

Add a due date to an entry and it shows up on your Payment Schedule as due-soon or overdue, with reminders you can send.

Full transaction history

Every entry with a person is kept, so you can see exactly how a balance was reached.

Shared visibility, if they accept

If the other person also uses HissabOne and accepts the connection, they see a read-only mirror of the same ledger — never edit access.

What this looks like

Sample data — for illustration only, not a real account.

15 Aug
You gave Ravi Kumar ₹6,200 (due 15 Oct)
2 Sep
Ravi repaid ₹2,000
Balance
Ravi owes you ₹4,200

Getting started

  1. Add the person as a contact.
  2. Record a "money given" or "money taken" entry with the amount, date and, optionally, a due date.
  3. Record repayments as they happen — the balance updates on its own.
  4. Check Payment Schedule for what is due soon, or send a reminder from the contact’s ledger.

Questions & answers

Does HissabOne lend me money or send money to anyone?

No. HissabOne only records entries you enter yourself — it does not lend, hold, or transfer funds.

Can I record partial repayments?

Yes — each repayment reduces the outstanding balance, and the full history of entries stays visible.

Will HissabOne remind the other person automatically?

You can send a reminder yourself, and the app also flags entries that are due soon or overdue on your Payment Schedule page.

Can the other person see the same ledger?

Only if they also have a HissabOne account and accept the connection — they then see a read-only mirror of the same entries.
